The St. John Ambulance Brigade is a voluntary organisation, non-sectarian and non-political, existing for the purpose of training members of the general public to give First Aid assistance to the sick and injured on public occasions. It is a permanent organisation in time of Peace, ready and available in time of Emergency.

The St. John Ambulance Brigade offers a variety of services from First Aid cover at public events to Training members of the general public in First Aid and many other life saving techniques.

The President's Badge scheme encourages young people to develop their life and social skills, and participate in a wide range of activities. This enables them to reach their full potential as individuals, members of St. John Ambulance and in society

The Award is presented by the President of the Council of the St. John Ambulance Brigade of Ireland and offers subjects usually outside the normal curriculum designed to stimulate interest and develop the aims of St. John Ambulance.

Each member must complete twelve proficiency subjects which are spread over a period of not less than 36 months, thus completing a maximum of four proficiency subjects each year.

Our Division has been very successful in the past with regards to competiting against other Division's of St. John Ambulance.

The Competitions are the nearest anyone can get to having a actual injury, thus allowing our members to show there skills in areas such as First Aid, Caring, C.P.R., WheelChair and Bedmaking.
